Having felt stuck where I was at physically, CORE’s tough go, go, go workouts, class structure and amazing trainers was exactly what I needed in order to become motivated. I became dedicated and have seen results I wouldn’t have seen on my own. After 6 months at CORE the classes don’t get any easier, but I look forward to each and every one.

    Our office staff spends a lot of time sitting at their desks – it is the nature of their job. As we know, sitting can be tough on your posture, your energy level and indeed, your overall health. About a year ago we decided to change all that…

    Through a mutual friend we were introduced to Michele and Core Studios. Soon after meeting Michele, we came to an agreement that our staff would train at Core Studios in the morning, before starting their work day.

    Who would have predicted the amazing transformation that has taken place in less than one year? Our staff absolutely love working out with Michelle and her Team. The trainers work them hard – very hard. They come back from the work-outs having been challenged to levels they would have not have attained on their own – in a safe and comfortable surrounding. These are not athletes. Many of them had little or no previous work-out experience. To see their smiling faces, their healthy complexions, and to witness their new found pride is truly exciting. Nearly every morning I can hear each of them returning from the gym, discussing the workout they just accomplished, and how good they feel. People who worked together for many years, but never really communicated, are car-pooling to the gym together and patting each other on the back. There is laughter, there is energy, there is a good feeling in the room – it is a new work environment! Quite remarkable!

    3b434b_11fae4eab7284893bd2b488dfad1767bI discovered CORE Fitness on February 15th 2010. I went into the studio with my sister to start what I thought was a boot camp. My first encounter with Michele was painful. At 216lbs and 44% body fat, let’s just say I was surprised I didn’t leave in an ambulance.

    February 17th was my first day of the rest of my life, I started 4 times a week in with personal training, and it was the best decision I made. Michele pushed me hard, the more I complained the more she would push, not because of the complaining but because she saw something in me that I was yet to discover. A will to live, a will to change, the will to be the best I can be. 2010 was a year of transition for me, and one of the hardest years I ever faced, but Michele was an amazing part of getting me through it. I always said she went above and beyond what a personal trainer should be, and that made me even more excited to work out.

    I had many goals during my journey, to be a size 8, to be 140lbs and to run a 5k. By July 2010, I was 159 lbs, a size 10 and on October 2010 I ran my first 5k in 28 minutes. I never thought I would be doing the things I am doing, and CORE Fitness and Michele are a great part of my accomplishments.

    Today I am 146lbs, and a size 5, my body fat is 28% and I am training to run my second 5k and cut my time by 8 min… I am hooked on CORE and I am forever grateful that when I walked into that studio more than a year ago Michele saw the person behind the fat body and pushed me to discover who that woman was. I am a new woman… a new mother, and it feels so good to get to the top of the stairs and not feel like you are about to die.

    So if you want change, and want to discover who you are, I suggest you try CORE Studios, their team is amazing, they have amazing trainers and they will work with you so you can reach your goals.

At the age of 40, I found that I had become a busy mom who put everyone’s needs before my own. I went from 110 pounds to 160 pounds in just 10 years.  It was gradual and easy enough to ignore. Two years ago, my health began to decline.  I no longer had the energy to keep up with my kids because of acute back pain. When I began training my goal was simply to lose weight, I quickly realized my lifestyle had to change.  I won’t lie to you, it hasn’t been easy, but today, I’m feeling lighter, faster and most importantly healthier.
